Generally speaking, the full process takes between 8 and 10 months.
Timelines may vary based on availability for classes, driving lessons, and tests.
After the medical examination, it takes about 3 months before you can take the theory test.
After obtaining the temporary driving permit (valid for 1 year), you can take the driving test after approximately 5/6 months.
Timelines may vary depending on personal preparation and availability of test dates.
• 2 attempts for the theory test (in 6 months)
• 3 attempts for the driving test (in one year)
If you exceed the available attempts or the available months expire, your enrolment will be cancelled and you will need to re-enrol and pay for it.
For re-enrolment, you will be required to pay a reduced fee and not pay the whole package.
The full theory course lasts about 2 months and there are 3 hours of lessons per week (Monday – Wednesday and Friday from 11 AM to 12 PM and from 6 PM to 7 PM).
There are about 22 modules covering all test topics.
As soon as you enrol, you can start attending classes right away.
The learning cycle is considered complete when you start again from the topic in which you started your learning.
There will be 6 hours of certified driving lessons, divided as follows:
• 2 hours in night visibility
• ⁠⁠2 hours on a non-urban road
• ⁠⁠2 hours in main non-urban road (ring road)
Driving lessons in non-urban and main non-urban roads (ring road) will be made toward the end of the programme, when you have full control of the vehicle and at the discretion of our instructors.
To enrol you need:
• Valid identity card
• Valid health insurance card
• Valid residence permit (for non-EU citizens)
You must also be a resident of Italy.
The payment in instalments provides for:
• Monthly charge billed automatically to the card indicated at the time of enrolment. The first instalment will be deducted at the time of enrolment.
• Before activation, Banca Sella carries out checks on card and documents (which must be valid).
Once the funding is approved, the amounts will be automatically charged monthly, with no further action required.
You can book driving lessons by writing directly to the Patente Pro WhatsApp number.
• A1 driving license (from 16 years): motorcycles up to 125 cc.
• A2 license (from 18 years): motor vehicles up to 35 kW.
• License A (from 24 years): all categories of motorcycles, without power limits.
In addition:
• With a Category B license you can drive cars and ride motorcycles up to 125 cc (in Italy). It also includes category AM.
If the account is not activated via the email received:
1. Contact your administrative office.
2. Your account will be verified.
3. If necessary, the account will be deleted and re-created to allow for a correct re-activation.
